Custom AOD (Add images on Always On Display) is a niche application that will only work with gadgets that have screens of a certain quality and features for this. A very good app. But a very unprofessional and nonresponsive behaviour. No reply on e-mails. The only reason not for going paid version.

I usually don’t write reviews but this app was significantly irritating, you can only add a tiny sliver of an image without paying for the app (no, you can’t adjust the proportions, at least not without paying), so basically anything taller than a penny is out of the question. To add insult to injury, once I finally made the picture small enough the app stuck it to the top border of the screen. I tried moving it but it wouldn’t budge, so I gave up on that all together. Then, the clock is in this boring bold font and you can’t change it, but you can select the font of random words and reminders, not helpful. I’d give it a lower score but I’m sure it works once you pay for it, annoying that it’s advertisered as a free app but you can do barely anything without paying and I’d rather not encourage this kind of behavior.

$3.49 for an app that doesn’t work. I tried to put a full pic on my aod and only got a small sliver that I couldn’t make bigger; plus a message saying it’s best to apply two images; but it wouldn’t let me. YouTube makes it look great, but for me it was a rip-off.

Suddenly stopped working. Paid the $10 for Prime Plus and developer hasn’t made my request or responded to any of my emails. If it works for you, just use the free images. Don’t give this guy a dime.

This app says free but it is not! For example, if you want to set a custom background you cannot! You must pay first before you can set the custom background of your choice! For me this is a bait and switch ploy and needs to be discontinued!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use to love this on my galaxy s8+. But now that I upgraded to the galaxy s10+ it doesn’t work as good. the image will disappear after like 5 seconds. On the gs8+ it would always stay on. That’s why I gave it four stars if they give it an update to fix it 4 the gs10+ it will get 5 *..

I upgraded to prime on faith, and it doesn’t work. Despite following directions and enabling accessibility and giving it time, the images never actually appeared. Complete waste of time and money and I would like a refund. Not sure of this is a scam, but run for hills on this app.

I really enjoyed using this app until a couple of minutes ago. Worked fine for the last two days and now it keeps crashing saying I have to grant accessibility when I already have. Such a shame, this app has alot of potential but it has too many bugs.

i like the app because it let’s me customize the ambient display while still using the stock ambient display in the device, the idea is great but the app needs heck a lot of work, it looks like the developer decided to dump it and leave us hanging. it works on my pixel 3a

Guys, please!! DO NOT SPEND MONEY on this app. They do not attend to their customers concerns. And will not assist you for a refund. If this app doesn’t work and you would like to request a refund they will not respond on you! First email, that Dhwani the developer responded to my email. After a couple of days after providing him what he need to process my request he is no longer responding despite of several emails I have sent to him. Please do not spend money!!

Seems nice but it won’t actually allow you to use your own image without buying the prime. Not practical if you only need to make one or two designs. Free option is not as interesting.

As of the latest update it will NOT let you use custom images from your gallery any more. Apparently people were not able to follow the instructions on how to make half-pixel images (or didn’t want to pay the developer $0.99 to do it for them) and complained about screen burn-in so it’s been removed… I used the paid version of the app for over a year and it was a five star app for me because it did exactly what I wanted: allowed me to create custom AOD wallpapers and swap them around easily. I paid for the Prime option to support the developer even though I didn’t want or use any of the pre-loaded images. Now that the one thing I used the app for has been removed, I’ve disabled it. I will watch the next few updates to see if the ability to use custom, self-made wallpapers is added back in but as of today this app has become useless to me.

How many times do I have to purchase. The update requires me to purchase everytime I want a custom image. And still does not show on AOD. Buyer beware!

What did you do to this app? I have enjoyed the paid version for a long time and it’s been one of the best apps I’ve ever used specifically because I could easily add any image to create a totally unique fullscreen Always On Display. The other options such as the stock images or inputting text to on top or sides always looked like cheap outdated PC backgrounds but being able use any of your own images allowed endless customization options that worked great. AOD been on 24/7 WITH ZERO SCREEN BURN

This app works great on my phone, but does not work well with my phone. Before the update the AOD would time out when my phone was placed screen down, now it seems to stay on all the time. I like how it shuts down with my phones AOD scheduled on/ off times, just wish the app would not stay on the whole time my phone is wireless charging after the scheduled shut off time. It’s an inconvenience to have to disable the app at night when charging and then turn it back on in the morning so I can use it

I do like having the ability to add images to aod, and the ability to add your own for a fee is nice. I do wish the image faded in and out instead of laggily popping in and out, but I’m sure that’s the device limitations. Sometimes the image doesn’t appear and I have to go to accessibility and turn it off and then on again.

This was one of the best App for AOD but now after the update you can’t se an image and I have tried every possible way to update the AOD image. Hence, I have to uninstall the app and rate it because now this app is useless.

Going into categories makes app crash, then setting a custom aod stops working altogether. Needing to completely reinstall to get the app working again. Fix this and I’ll give you 5.

DO NOT USE THIS APP It was a nice app until I got burned in, I have to pay for the picture itself to set as aod since they said they will make the picture not burned into the screen, but after a few weeks, it burned into my screen now. so DO NOT USE THIS APP BECAUSE YOU WILL PAY MONEY TO GET YOUR SCREEN BURNED.

Very nice AODs. I would give a 5 star if it wasn’t keep removing from the lock screen after a couple a days after setting. So I have turn off my custom AOD and restart my phone – turn back on my custom AOD – then go in the app again and re-set the AOD.

Image will not stay on the screen when I lock my device. Samsung note 9. Aod on Or off it makes no difference it doesn’t stay on the screen. Am I doing something wrong here?

Working flawlessly on my US/Verizon Samsung Galaxy S10+ SM-G975U on Android 10. Apparently there has been some loss functionality from previous versions and I can’t speak to that, but as it is constructed now it does exactly what it states without a single pick up or glitch and I’m very pleased Update: UPDATED: Oops! I spoke too soon. The very basic app functionality works well, but no sooner had I paid for the Prime version then the app began to crash regularly. First time selecting favorites, looks like having more than 20 or so is unstable. I also seems to crash and lose it’s grip on the Accessibility settings when I have the auto-change function enabled. Of course storing my favorites and having it change them out for me is the whole reason to pay for the Prime version so I am very disappointed. If the devs can’t get me rolling I’m going to have to ask for my money back I’m sad to say, because when it works it’s pretty cool

Been charged 3 times for images from my gallery …still havnt seen them show up for me to use …why am i charged for every pic from my gallery instead of a set amount …and why cant i use the ones I’ve been charged for…?

I’m so happy I found this app! It’s brilliant! There are so many beautiful pictures to choose from to use on your Always On Display. Or, you can get your own photos converted to use on your AOD. Just got my first photo back, it’s better than I imagined. I love it!! It’s a great app and it works wonderfully. Keep up the great work!!

It’s a terrible absolute scam, saying it’s free, having to pay for the service of halfpixelling your own image, and then not able to use it as your AOD. Doesn’t not serve it’s very purpose. Tried emailing the developers but no reply. Please do not download this buggy software. It should be shut down.

A recent update (read December) removed functionality which had to be played for at the time. This has rendered the app useless for me. This about the custom image, now you HAVE to upload the image and wait for the Dev to convert it. Though I can make a half pixel image perfectly myself. Please bring the feature back

Perfect and i think it still has the custom image feature .all you have to do is send them your picture to not cause pixel burn. I upgraded to prime version to support thr developer, as he wasn’t greedy at all, and made a lot of cool pictures available for the free version. Thank you for not being like a lot of greedy developers.

Love This App So Much. There are awesome Emoticons, Logo, Text, Wallpaper That are beautiful work on My Always On Display. But main unique thing about this app, you can submit your own favorite photo to make as AOD suitable. With Law Battery Burn. Request to dev always keep that app alive. And add unique images

Paid for the prime version ,then I bought new phone and prime was not available to me !! I contact the seller but keeps giving me not effective and valid feedback on how to get the prime back. Its been almost two weeks and still dont have the prime version. Very frustrated , gave me a promo code as it said but there is no way to use it ! The side bar is not recognizing me but there is no way as well to recognise me as a paid buyer !!
