It’s effective for what it’s supposed to do without issue so far but in order to block unwanted sms, you have to make this the default app and the messaging screen is very boring and unattractive. Is it too much to ask to get proper functionality and eye appeal?

Works ok, not the easiest to operate but it works. To add numbers you want to block, you have to go to the phone’s recent calls and copy then paste, not the app because the app doesn’t save your recent calls. When you need to add numbers beginning with or whatever numbers you need to block. The directions are hard to understand to do so. So once you figure out how to do work it, you will be fine. Blocks well.

Not blocking unknown calls. Paid for the pro version 2 they need to fix the bugs I think Google Play needs and Make It Word when somebody gets so many bad reviews they need to shut down the app and refund everybody’s money. That way these developers just don’t walk away and never come back with all the cash

Simple, very useful. unlike so many other apps that try filtering and fail you can set this up to just block every call except your contacts.I found that to be the best option. If it’s important enough to leave a voicemail you can add them to your list for the future

Great app when it works. Stops spam calls from interrupting me. I block anyone who isn’t a contact. However recently, it no longer blocks any calls though it’s running. Maybe Google changed something with an update or with permissions. But it’s not useful at all unless it blocks calls.

Still getting Many spam calls daily even though it is supposed to be set to block ALL calls not in my contacts. I’ve reached out to support many times in hopes they’d help fix the problem so I could avoid giving a bad review, but received no response. I bought the Pro Version which was a very cheap price……. Guess I got what I paid for!

I use this to block calls from unknown numbers and it works well. The only bug I’ve noticed is if you’re already on a call and someone else call you from a blacklisted number it ends your current call as well.

Bye bye nasty callers. Stop irritating spam that has now taken to texting. But with this app its very easy to block them. And it also warns you when the number has been reported aa spam so you don’t have to open a text or listen to a message OR accidently answer an unknown call. Often the calls are robo calls looking for numbers in service once you answer, your number is sold to businesses etc. So i love how the robo calls are ragged and all you gotta do is hit block.

The identification in the PRO version does not work and you cannot delete multiple text messages at the same time. You need to open each message to delete. If this was fixed I would give the app a 5 star rating. The goal is not to return to my phone and messaging plus I like you screen better.

Blocks unwanted calls and sms messages. I have been using this app over 8 months w/o any issues. It took me a while to create blacklist for unwanted calls and numbers,update my contact lists to ensure the calls are not blocked, and whitelist for absolutely important numbers. Once set up correctly, app does exactly what it says on the box.

I paid for the app and it worked for a few but stopped working. I even updated it. I’m still getting the annoying 709 phone calls even though I told the app to block them. Looks like I need to try another app.?

Absolutely fantastic. This app is a godsend for me. I have a phone with an old number and I get spam robocalls and texts all throughout the day for about 4 or 5 people who had this number before me. This app will block the call IMMEDIATELY. They don’t even get the chance to hear the phone ring for a millisecond. I set the app to block any number that isn’t in my contacts and it works flawlessly.

Used to be great, now USELESS!!! Having the same issues as a lot of other users who paid for the pro version. It just doesn’t block calls anymore which is a real shame as I used to really rely on it. Uninstalling 🙁

I love ? the app. I normally get at least 30 spam, robocalls, etc. and Calls Blacklist Pro catches every single one!! The only thing that I would like to see on this app is an option to accept or not accept voice messages from Blacklisted numbers. 5/27/2020 I’ve had 4-5 phones since my purchase of your app (2013?). Each time I have downloaded your app. I still love♥️your app. I would give it 5 ⭐s; however, I would like to see a change in the capability of unknown #s not being able to leave msg

This app used to be wonderful blocked all calls except for what I wanted last few months it doesn’t block any calls maybe the random one or two. I’ve loaded and reloaded but nothing works and is now a piece of junk.

It’s a great toll to have. I’ve had so much peace from not getting those annoying ROBO calls and SMS messages from telemarketers. It does, however, needs little more developing to stop cutting me off from my phone conversations when blocking calls.

Changing review to 1 star. The app now demands SMS permission and closes if i do not provide it. It already has phone and contact permissions. I dont care about SMS blocking i just want the phone calls to stop. It doesn’t need the SMS permission to block calls so why is granting SMS permission now mandatory? Sketchy.

edit: after using for a while, it would be nice if there is a way to stop the blocked calls from leaving a voicemail. I was getting up to 10 calls a day from New York and D.C. numbers from Chinese scammers. Installed this app out of rage lol and it’s been quiet ever since.

I love this app. I just went and bought the pro version of it. It catches every call that isn’t wanted. It even got a couple that I did want to talk to lol. {Funny but true.} but all I did was add them to my contacts list and the app didn’t block em the next time they called. I can’t tell you how many of these apps I’ve tried, and most of them would work until they had an update. Then they would stop working. So I would uninstall it and find another one. Those days are done. (I hope)

App works EXTREMELY WELL, the best I’ve used, in fact, for blocking unwanted calls and texts. A huuuge grip for me is that you can’t send any attachments when texting, requiring me to switch to another texting app, which makes me agree to use it as my default, in order to send said attachment with my text. Then I have to switch BACK to Calls Blacklist PRO, go through the same thing again (accepting it as my default app), in order to enjoy it’s superb blocking capabilities. Annoying as hell…

I thought this was a good app so purchased it and set it up. Turns out you can’t receive mms messages on it. So is it worth blocking that odd call if you can’t get mms messages? Hell no. Should have saved my money.

It was a simple and great app. After moving to Android 10, this app no longer works as desired. Blocking don’t work. Have tried to contact the developer but got no response. Will change the rating to 5 stars if the app is fixed for the current times.

Edit 8 Jun 20: this app needs update! No longer working, it’s been 6 months since the last update. The after sale service is disappointing. ——————————————— This app is better than the others because it provides us with the flexibility to block callers which begin with some numbers. So if the spam callers use different numbers, we can still block it as long as the first few numbers are the same, which is usually the case.

I’ve had this App on several phones and it has worked brilliantly. But after my phone upgraded to Android 10, it doesn’t work at all. It no longer blocks unknown numbers or withheld numbers or those on my Blacklist. Please will the developer help. Thanks.
